SPOTLIGHT
ON STUDENTS
- "The
internship intensified my desire to explore health
careers, inspiring me to give more thought to applying
to medical school so I could pursue a career in this
field. Without your efforts and dedication to this
program, most high school students would not be able
to explore their interests or get a taste of the
working world. I never fathomed such an opportunity
and I deeply appreciate your role in offering us such
an educational, hands-on and eye-opening
experience."
--Lauren,
Kaiser Permanente Medical Center intern, San Rafael
High School

- "Thank
you for providing this fascinating
internship opportunity. I have gained so
much knowledge through my successful
experience. Through this program, I was
able to start fulfilling my dreams by
working in a corporate and legal setting.
Thank you for your guidance, efforts,
generosity and for answering all my
questions."
--Lara,
Fireman's Fund Insurance Company

- "The
greatest benefit was gaining work
experience and education about the film
industry and learning about
business."

- "My
internship has been a truly life changing experience
and has jump-started the long road ahead of me. It has
allowed me to focus my interests and helped me to
better understand my likes and dislikes. I would never
have imagined the experience I have gained through
working in a hospital three times a week. I became
familiar with its organizations and the people around
me. I now know that whatever field I decide to pursue
I want to help people."
--Sara,
Marin General Hospital intern
- "Thank
you so much for making my internship with
Science Interchange possible this summer.
This was by far the most rewarding
experience I have had this year. I learned
a great deal about environmentalism,
communication, technology and the world.
In this first taste of the real world for
me, I have learned and improved
dramatically in my speaking, writing and
listening skills. In those six weeks, I
conducted several interviews, which has
made me a more outgoing person. I have
learned how to digitally edit audio. This
was even my first time writing an article.
This experienced changed my life and I owe
it to your finding this terrific
internship for me. I could not have done
it without you."

your School to Career program very much! Your work has
made a difference in my life! It's been great. I have
been in this program for two summers now. I have

"Every day was
good because I got to help people."

"I got to be
exposed to something I am very interested in. The
absolute best day was when I went to Kaiser San
Francisco with a cardiologist and got to see open
heart surgery. I learned a lot about cardiology and it
has assured me that I want to become a cardiovascular
surgeon. I had an awesome time. Everything just went
wonderfully."
